Host & Theme Music

Christie Baugher wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musicals The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul (sold out in concert at Joe’s Pub, August 2019; official selection, 2020 Pacific Playwrights Festival, South Coast Repertory) and Leni Riefenstahl Is Going To Tell You The Truth. She isn’t a nationally syndicated cartoonist, but her songs have been sung on five continents and she can do the Monday New York Times crossword in three and a half minutes.  She holds an MFA from the NYU/Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program and was Speller 79 in the 1998 National Spelling Bee.  (The word she missed was “imprecate”.  She doesn’t want to talk about it.)
